Rwandan Session

From February 26 to March 1

In Kigali, the Young Leaders met with influential figures from Rwanda, such as Francis Gatare of the Rwanda Development Board and Yvonne Makolo of Rwandair, as well as key players in the new Franco-Rwandan partnership. These discussions highlighted the importance of the economic dynamism contributed by French companies such as Vivendi and Total.

This session was marked by a special meeting with President Kagame, where the class presented its manifesto. For the Young Leaders, this renewed partnership should focus on three areas that are essential for the future of Africa and France, where both countries have unique assets and can therefore build excellent cooperation: technology and artificial intelligence (AI); food systems; education, culture and creative industries.

French session

This week in Paris represents an important step in the Young Leaders' journey. It allowed the beneficiaries of the program to meet decision-makers such as Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, at the time Secretary of State for Development, Francophonie and International Partnerships, and the CEO of Orange, Christel Heydemann.
